United face Newcastle in FA Cup fourth roundToone embraced face mask after scoringAlso set up Parris' first goalWHAT HAPPENED?
The Lionesses superstar put her side ahead in their FA Cup fourth round clash – and in some style. Toone controlled a tame Newcastle clearance with a delightful first touch, before rifling home a long-range stunner from the corner of the box. Sporting a protective face mask due to an injury sustained in last week's friendly against PSV, the 24-year-old lived up to her 'Super Ella Toone' nickname by posing in front of the home crowd in a superhero stance.

It wasn't just goals Toone was providing on Sunday. She showed great work to get the assist for Nikita Parris' first of the game just nine minutes after scoring, with Parris on hand to double her tally ten minutes into the second half. The goals – thanks largely to Toone's contributions – put United out of sight at Leigh Sports Village. Marc Skinner's side progress to the fifth round, which he will hope can alleviate some of the pressure mounting on his shoulders in recent months. Toone continues to be his saving grace.

The fifth round will take place on February 11 with United's opponents yet to be decided, but they will be out for revenge after losing last year's final to Chelsea 1-0. The Blues are the Red Devils' next opponents in their return to WSL action in a week's time.
