Cookie Run: Kingdom has made Mystic Flour’s Castle of Futility a free unlock for clearing Beast-Yeast 3-30. Players who have already beaten the stage will find the newly expanded reward in their Cookie Run: Kingdom mailboxes.
Cookie Run: Kingdom‘s Beast-Yeast world exploration area originally launched in January 2024. Episode 3, titled The Awakening of White Apathy, materialized in late May of the same year, introducing 30 new stages. Initially, free-to-play players did not get a free castle for beating stage 30, Inner Temple.
Cookie Run: Kingdom Extends Beast-Yeast 3-30 Castle Reward to Everyone
Developer Devsisters decided to change the 3-30 reward with the recent arrival of Episode 11, dubbed Catacombs of Silence. Apart from introducing the Silent Salt Cookie to Cookie Run: Kingdom, the latest update also makes Castle of Futility a free reward for anyone who completes Episode 3. The change brings 3-30 in line with other Beast castles tied to story clears.
The free castle reward unlocks at any difficulty level, making it relatively accessible even for players who haven’t yet built a powerful squad of Legendary Cookies in Cookie Run: Kingdom. Those who have already beaten the 3-30 boss will receive the Castle of Futility automatically. The Catacombs of Silence update rolled out earlier this week, September 23, so anyone who qualifies for the retroactive reward should already have the newly free castle waiting for them in their mailbox.
Cookie Run: Kingdom Players Who Already Paid for Castle of Futility Are Getting a Bonus
As is tradition, Devsisters isn’t leaving players who already paid for a reward that has now been made free empty-handed. Instead, they are receiving a bonus in the form of Cookie Run: Kingdom Crystals. The game has historically handled castle conversion at a rate of 1:8,000, suggesting paying players would have received 8,000 Crystals by now.
Fans have previously flagged Castle of Futility as the outlier among Beast castles for being paywalled. Shifting it to a story clear mirrors how other Beast designs are earned, standardizing the game’s progression mechanics. The new cosmetic can be equipped from the settings menu opened by tapping one’s castle. Free-to-play players who have only now unlocked Castle of Futility may not be aware that pairing it with Fountain of Emptiness enables a special visual effect. Apart from this retroactive reward, Episode 11: Silence of Conviction introduces Silent Salt Cookie, Charcoal Cookie, 30 more stages, and the Grass element, among other novelties. The update materialized shortly after Devsisters shared a new Cookie Run: Kingdom promo code, SPECIALONAIR, which is valid until October 21.
