Skate Flip With a View Challenge Guide (Endless Kickflip)

Flip With a View is an own the spot challenge in Skate that takes place on top of Hedgemont’s Tri-Towers. To complete all the goals in this challenge, players must perform an “endless” kickflip, execute a 360 spin, and land a huge jump. This can be quite a tricky sequence to put together, though, and this guide is here to help players who are struggling with the Flip With a View challenge in Skate.

The following video shows this Skate challenge being completed at both half and full speed.

Skate Flip With a View Challenge Strategy

While there are several ways to address this challenge, here is the approach that seems to be the most consistent:

  1. Start at the marker and give five pushes.
  2. Hold down on the right joystick and flick it up at the top of the small ramp to ollie.
  3. Quickly hold the left and right triggers to perform a double grab as you descend toward the large blue ramp.
  4. Just before making contact with the ramp, release the triggers and hold the left joystick very slightly toward the right.
  5. Make very small adjustments to the left joystick to stay on top of the blue arrows.
  6. After passing the last arrow, hold down on the right joystick and then hold it up and diagonally to the left at the very end of the ramp to start a kickflip.
  7. Keep that right joystick in that position to repeatedly flip the board, while also holding the left joystick to the left or right.
  8. Release the left joystick as soon as the 360 spin is executed. Make sure that the nose of the board is pointed exactly in the direction of the skater’s momentum.
  9. Release the right joystick as soon as the endless kickflip registers, which occurs after nine flips, and land on the roof.

Skate Flip With a View Challenge Tips

There are a couple issues that Skate players may encounter while trying to execute the aforementioned strategy. Here are some tips that may help players address those issues:

Distance

If a player is finding that they are consistently falling short of the landing point, they should try making smaller adjustments with the left joystick when traveling along the blue ramp. Indeed, pressing hard on the left stick seems to kill quite a bit of the skater’s momentum, and a very light touch should be used. Additionally, players should make sure that they are performing the double grab as they fall toward the blue ramp and that they are starting their kickflip at the last possible moment.

Landing

Landing this 360 endless kickflip in Skate can be a quite challenging, and it is critical that players give a lot of attention to ending the rotation with the board’s nose pointed exactly in the direction of the skater’s momentum. This tends to be slightly to the left, and players who try to position the board perpendicular to the building’s edge are likely to fall.
